In March 2010 we sent an invitation to all of our Hunter-Hopkins CFS/ME patients to participate in a novel program developed and managed by the CFIDS Association:  the SolveCFS BioBank.

The BioBank is a repository of blood (and tissue) that will be stored indefinitely by a private agency, and made available to qualified researchers.  Only persons with acute onset CFS/ME diagnosed by Drs. Lapp, Black, Bateman, or Peterson will be included initially. It is hoped that such a repository of well-defined specimens will be helpful for future research studies.

Following the April appeal, over one hundred individuals provided blood samples to the BioBank.  We thank you for that! 

Now, the BioBank needs more samples in order to meet demand.

If you have considered donating but have not followed through, please consider again! 

Call Gloria at the CFIDS Association to see if you qualify, then arrange for a small blood sample to be sent to the Bank. You will be contributing to CFIDS Research.
